Jeff Havener is President of AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS). Jeff has 36+ years of financial industry experience, including real estate, consumer and commercial lending, and commercial operations. As President of AMS, he leads the organization in executing its strategic vision and achieving its goals of ensuring more members of our military community have access to affordable mortgages that meet their needs and the superlative service they deserve. Before coming to AMS, Jeff served as Chief Lending Officer for Heartland Credit Union in Hutchinson, Kansas where he was responsible for all of the lending programs. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer for Allegiance Credit Union in Oklahoma City. Jeff holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Linfield College.

Rob Greenbaum is currently the Chief Marketing Officer with AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS) and has 34+ years of experience in financial services, primarily in the mortgage sector. He leads the marketing, communications, and business development functions to ensure servicemembers and Veterans get the affordable mortgages they need to build, buy, or refinance a home. Before joining the AMS team, he was Senior Director of Marketing and Communications with Fannie Mae for 10 years. Prior to that, he was the Senior VP of Marketing for 10 years at Nationstar Mortgage (a/k/a Mr. Cooper). Additionally, he served as a branch manager with several consumer finance companies and banks. Rob graduated with a B.S., Applied Economics and Business Management, from Cornell University.

Amarish Pathak is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS). Amarish has 27 years of information technology industry experience, including cyber, software research and development and program management. He is the inventor on multiple issued authentication patents. As a CTO of AMS, he leads the organization in technology planning and executing key initiatives for achieving AMS goals of reducing costs, preserving technology investments, and ensuring more members of our military community have access to superior mortgage technology solutions.

Rick is Vice President, Sales for AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC. Rick began his career in the real estate industry as a Realtor® and residential real estate appraiser. In 2001, Rick shifted his career to focus on residential lending. He joined AMS in June of 2018 and started his current role in August 2023. He is proud to be able to give back to the servicemembers who have given so much to this country by helping them to finance what is typically their biggest investment. Rick graduated from the University of Virginia in 1985 and served as a First Lieutenant in the Army from 1986-1989.

Rita Romaker, based in Texas, is a seasoned professional serving as the Vice President of Operations. With an impressive career spanning over 24 years in the mortgage industry, Rita has consistently demonstrated her leadership prowess in team management, particularly in the realm of Underwriting. Originally starting her journey in Manufactured Housing, Rita swiftly pivoted towards Mortgage Lending, where she has excelled across diverse facets of the industry. Possessing FHA Direct Endorsement and VA Underwriting and Appraisal Authority, Rita is renowned for her expertise in Government loans and Down Payment Assistance Programs, making her a highly sought-after authority in her field.

Andrew Hicks, based in Florida, is the Vice President of Compliance and System Administration. He brings over 10 years of extensive experience in all sectors of mortgage operations, as well as sales and compliance. His wide-ranging knowledge of multiple facets within the mortgage industry helps to drive organizational efficiency and integrity. Through widespread hands-on experience, Andrew specializes in constructing frameworks to ensure AMS maintains a solid foundation in regulatory compliance.

Coupled with his compliance expertise, Andrew is a Certified Encompass Administrator through ICE Mortgage and has a vast proficiency in system administration and mortgage technology. Through proactive problem-solving and a collaborative approach, Andrew is adept at streamlining processes, optimizing workflows, and enhancing organizational efficiency.

Kevin Crooks is the Business Development Manager for AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS). Prior to that he was an Area Manager and Branch Manager with AMS based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. He is responsible for residential construction loans, sales training, and business development initiatives. Having grown up in Jacksonville, North Carolina with a Marine Corps Warrant Officer as a father, Kevin understands firsthand the commitment and sacrifice made by military families. Kevin attended Tulane University in New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management. Having spent over 20 years in the mortgage industry, he personally has helped hundreds of families realize their dream of home ownership.

Matt Watson is the Commercial Portfolio Manager for AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS). Matt originates, underwrites and coordinates the settlement of construction and permanent commercial real estate (CRE) mortgage loans. The CRE mortgage loan portfolio is administered and serviced in-house which creates a value-added, low fee alternative to bank or conduit financing for our borrowers. AMS is a "Commercial Relationship Lender," and is able to close loans with ease and celerity.

Matt has worked for AAFMAA since 2005 and AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust from 2015-2020. He was previously responsible for the analysis and trading of the institutional fixed income and equity portfolios, as well as the accounting of the institutional investment portfolio and monitoring the portfolio for strict compliance with investment guidelines. Matt has performed analysis and provided recommendations on new business ventures including AAFMAA subsidiaries. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech.
